Branding:
Aubrey Maxwell Photography
Brand identity development and website design for a small wedding photography company. I held frequent meetings with the client to ensure the vision came to life! Aubrey wanted an elegant logo and assets compatible with web and mobile use.
I created a primary logo and a logo mark to use on web, and mobile elements. Digital patterns are intended for web and social media use, as backgrounds and fillers. I also included typefaces for the Aubrey Maxwell Photography website.

Original Notes, and Ideas:
This is a notebook scan of my notes during my first meeting with Aubrey, going over her wants, needs and requirements. I took these notes as we looked over a Pinterest board she had put together. I was able to get a really good Idea of what she was looking for and took note of the specific elements that made up her dream branding. I then started listing possibilities brief ideas for what the Aubrey Maxwell Photography branding might look like.
The Final Brand Guide:
The final brand guide put together with primary logo, logo mark, brand colors, type scale and patterns.
Layout and Type Exploration:
These are different Layouts and ideas for the primary logo, which presented to Aubrey to get input on what arrangement fit her brand the best. She really loved the simple stack, with her name in an elegant serif font, and “photography” written in a dainty script. Then it was all about finding the perfect way to pair the two!
Logo Sketches:
These are sketches for the logo mark. I played around with old and new ideas like the sun, butterflies and flowers. my personal favorite variation is the sun split in half and shaped like a butterfly (close to the center of the page). We went with a classic sun with thin, elegant lines. In the very end, the logo mark came to be our elegant sun with the AM insignia in the middle.
I messed with the primary logo some more and tried adding different spins on each variant before deciding to stick with our previously decided arrangement.
"I loved working with Elyza, she gave me great guidance came up with my perfect brand!"
